Graduate of Clarke and Mississippi Colleges and has earned a Master in Theology, a Doctorate in Ministry and a Doctorate in Philosophy. 

 Served as pastor and evangelist in the Middle East from 1959-1966 and has fulfilled the Great Commission literally by preaching in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and 76 countries. 

 Author of nine books.  Among them are Jesus, Prophesy and the Middle East (110,000 in print), and Islam Revealed (100,000).  Anis and his wife, Nell, are subjects of the best-selling biography The Liberated Palestinian (160,000 in print).  They are the parents of four children and have eight grandchildren.

 Producer of documentaries on Jordan, India, the Holy Land and several docudramas.  The latest is “Islam:  A Threat or a Challenge?”   

 In December, 1985, Dr. Shorrosh debated “Is Jesus God?”  Over 5,000 people were in attendance at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England.  This extraordinary Christian and Muslim debate was with Sheikh Ahmed Deedat of South Africa.  Again in August 1988, at the National Exhibition Center, Birmingham, England, he debated victoriously, for five hours, the same Muslim leader with over 11,000 in attendance!  The topic was:  “The Quran or the Bible:  Which is God’s Word?”  Videos and audios are available.

 His escapes from three attempts on his life by fanatic Muslims in Capetown, Durban, and Johannesburg, South Africa, was truly a miraculous intervention of God in 1989.

 Because of the 9/11 tragedy, the Gulf War and the continuing explosive Mid-East situation, he has been in great demand by the media, churches and universities. The Rush Limbaugh Radio program attracted 10,000 phone calls in 48 hours!  The John Ankerberg TV Show aired six one-half hour segments in all 50 states.  Trinity Broadcasting Network has featured him several times.  CNN had him on “Talk-Back Live”  on 8-15-02.

 September 1995, Dr. Shorrosh was guest lecturer at NCI Bible College, Auckland, New Zealand.  He continues to teach and preach across America and around the world.  Prayer makes this possible.  October 2000 was spent in England lecturing and preaching 30 different times in a dozen cities.  Furthermore, numerous engagements were fulfilled throughout the U.S.A., Canada, France and India in 2001.

 Three years ago Dr. and Mrs. Shorrosh completed the translation of the monumental document The True Furqan from Arabic to English. In style and substance it is like the Muslim’s Quran but contains the gospel message.  It is written as a tool to evangelize Muslims - the first of its kind in 1400 years.  It has been reprinted three times already.
